Until November by Aurora Rose Reynolds
This one, however, resonates with me and has become a reliable comfort read that I actually purchase the physical book.

Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh
Binding 13 is a young adult romance novel, written by Chloe Walsh. This was my first read by Chloe and one of those elusive and magical novels where I read it once and immediately dove back in for a second taste. First, this novel is heavy, and you’ve been warned. This brings up uncomfortable topics, shitty situations. Not everyone is able to be saved at the book’s end. That being said, I have reread it multiple times since my first reading earlier this year. The depth of the character building is AMAZING. I was totally surprised when I read it the first time. Once in a blue moon a book…

True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle – Avi
Pressure is on, here it is, my first review (queue the dramatic music & spotlight). I thought way too hard about what book to start with. I settled on a book that I have reread time and time again since I read it in middle school: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi. For frame of reference this is an older book, published in 1990, my copy is tattered and torn and owned by my mother before me. For shits and giggles I decided to check which edition I have – lo’ and behold it’s a first! My middle school self reads this much differently than I do as an adult.…

Trouble with the Guy Next Door – Holly Renee
I needed a light read that I knew would end on a good note. In my quest for such a book I looked up some books that I knew would fit the bill. I clicked the trusty Contemporary Romance tag on Goodreads and found one I hadn’t read. That’s how I stumbled on The Trouble with the Guy Next Door by Holly Renee. Just a note, this book was previously published under a different title: Bottom’s Up, let me tell you, renaming was a good call. I don’t know that I would have read this with that title, lol. Guys and Dolls, this was a damn gem. Since we are…

A Court of Thorn and Roses – Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Thorns and Roses is the first novel in a four part series by Sara J. Mass. This is a high fantasy novel with a slow burn romance brewing in the background. This novel is lush with beautiful imagery and an intricate and well thought caste system of fae, human and other fantasy creatures. I have read through many reviews and I believe the common factor that doesn’t work for some readers is how slow the novel moves. However, this is one of the things I love about it. When an author takes care to build a world so different from our own, with beautiful and detailed descriptions…
